The Steering Committee (SC) is a selection, advisory, and monitoring body composed of 8 experienced and renowned experts appointed by the coordinator. The SC will be headed by an expert familiar with the life and materials sciences research topics at CEITEC. A deputy SC head will be an independent expert covering the expertise complementary to the SC head (i.e., life or materials science). Overall, the SC will comprise three Czechs, four foreign experts, five representatives from academia, and at least two with industrial backgrounds.  The SC will be responsible in particular for:

• Evaluation and selection process
• Fellowship monitoring, providing feedback and consultations, proposing adjustments, and conflict resolution
